Nicholas Ware is an international commercial, compliance and enforcement attorney with deep experience in foreign and emerging markets such as Latin America and Asia Pacific. He is a former diplomat, former Intelligence Officer, and a former US Marine.MPAA. Mr. Ware left the Foreign Service after several overseas assignments to accept an appointment as VP and Regional Director Motion Picture Association, responsible for all litigation and intellectual property protection in Latin America. He was responsible for disruption of major pirate networks and the establishment of both strategy and methodology for all dispute resolution and litigation.BSA. Mr. Ware later assumed a similar role with the Business Software Alliance as the first Regional Director for Anti-Piracy, effecting a major program turnaround and driving historic growth into profitability by reorganizing the region and making strategic changes in operations.CIA. Mr. Ware served in the Clandestine Service for ten years in various locations.Lobby & Writing. Mr. Ware served on the negotiation team for passage of the WIPO treaties throughout Latin America having a major impact on IP laws in the region. He has also received numerous awards for his legal writing including Best Article for a piece on intellectual property protection in China awarded by the Florida Bar International Law Section. Leadership. Mr. Ware works to inspire teamwork, having learned early that leadership is service, and that real leaders follow a path to greater service, not to greater privilege. These lessons came courtesy of the United States Marine Corps where he served as a non-commissioned officer, enlisting at age 17 and rising through the ranks prior to university.
