Technical lead leading teams to develop new products and prototypes with a focus on development speed, scale, and reliability for the future.Some of my key accomplishments at Indeed include:- Built out Indeed's Business Automation Team from two developers and a QA to three autonomous teams focusing on automating business processes as Indeed has grown to a worldwide company and workforce. From a development perspective, I primarily focused on Indeed's money, moving Indeed to a multi-currency model while redesigning and implementing invoice generation, credit card processing, and calculating of sales' commissions for a global advertiser base and workforce.- Designed and implemented a unified search across all contacts in Indeed's system utilizing Elasticsearch, increasing productivity of all users of Indeed's custom CRM. Through this, I have become a subject matter expert on the Elastic stack at Indeed and externally, as demonstrated by numerous talks about our use cases at meetups and Elastic hosted events, as well as public international talks outside of the US.- Tech lead for our Job Search Backend Team, designing and leading efforts to move the pipeline of creating Indeed's job index and document store to a multi-data center solution for both performance and reliability.- Designed and implemented a system that allows aggregating custom data thoroughout the job pipeline, enabling incredibly fast iteration on new features for Indeed's job search, where it previously might have taken weeks or months.- Designed and implemented prototypes of new Indeed products, while seeing successful prototypes to complete, robust, scalable, and profitable products for Indeed.- Incredibly active in recruiting, having conducted over 1,000 interviews, with an emphasis on university recruiting and building out world class workforces at all of Indeed's international offices.

Primarily designing and implementing new features as a Java developer working on a Spring/Hibernate/Jetty/mySQL stack. I also am responsible for Amazon EC2 instnace/SQS/RDS dev ops management and frequent new version rollouts complaint with demanding SLAs. Developed in ExtJS 3 and 4 for our front-end GUI with DWR (Direct Web Remoting) for communicating between the client and server.

Primarily worked on Tivoli Security Policy Manager 7.0 and 7.1. 7.0 was the initial release, with a 7.0 version to be consistent with the WebSphere version branding at the time.• Helped deliver the initial release of TSPM, an SOA security application using J2EE technologies for WebSphere 6.1, using an agile development process with two week iterations.• Owner and lead developer of TSPM’s repository component. Moved repository from a JDO ORM solution (JPOX) to an extensible RDF backed ORM solution, allowing exploiters to manage arbitrary or extended objects in our repository without code recompilation.• Led the design and development of TSPM’s end-to-end data security scenarios, which allows for common security policy conforming to the XACML spec to be distributed and enforced using GRANTs, Oracle VPD, and DB2 FGAC.• Designed and implemented a workflow engine for operational governance of security policy and operational roles.

Web developer for numerous website using a LAMP (Linux, Apache, mySQL, PHP) stack with an emphasis on search engine optimization and affiliate marketing.

- Created innovative end-to-end solution from determining custom support problems to providing a solution without human intervention using Java, J2EE, WebSphere, and DB2.- Created complete J2EE application on WebSphere 6.1 using servlets, EJBs, JSPs, JMS, asynchronous beans, connection pooling and AJAX.- Created a rules set using Drools Rules (JBoss Rules) to determine where and how to search targeted sites on the internet based on diagnosis data.- Developed autonomous multi-threaded bots to crawl targeted sites given a set of diagnosed problems.
