As a TAFE (PAVE) teacher of Academic and Communication Skills, I have helped students:1. Identify and analyse ideas and themes in a range of texts.2. Use the conventions of spelling, punctuation, and syntax of Standard Australian English.3. Research and reference information in a subject area.4. Deliver an oral presentation based upon a specific topic.5. Develop strategies for reviewing and editing.6. To provide a supportive space at the Student Hub, as a Student Education and Social Engagement Facilitator, I help further student's educational goals, and foster a place where both International and domestic students can choose to come to, to be social and have community, Utilising innovative technology to deliver high-quality learning experiences, instructional approaches, and academic-support strategies I aim to address the distinct learning needs, interests, aspirations and cultural backgrounds of our students. It is to overall support Swinburne University of Technology’s aim to produce Future Ready Learners who are: Confident and enterprising, creating social impact, Prepared to identify and solve complex problems, Adaptive and equipped for careers of the future, Learners as global citizens. The mission is simple: 1) To help students navigate through their course. 2) To advocate for student's well-being, and their student experience. 3) To offer personalised learning programs to students to access a high-quality education. 4) To foster an inclusive, engaging and respectful student community. 5) To create a safe space not just for learning, both physically and online, but to catch up and socialise. 6) To collaborate and communicate with teachers regarding student needs.

In my role at the Student Hub, I created a supportive environment where both international and domestic students could achieve their educational goals while fostering a sense of community and social engagement. I provided personalized learning programs and academic-support strategies that addressed students' unique needs, interests, and cultural backgrounds.By utilizing innovative technology and instructional approaches, I contributed to Swinburne's mission of producing Future Ready Learners who were confident, enterprising, and equipped for future careers. I advocated for student well-being, facilitated inclusive learning environments, and collaborated with faculty to meet student needs.Key responsibilities included:Supporting students across ELICOS, Foundation, Unilink, and Masters qualifying programs.Managing student bookings and the Student At Risk Communications tracker.Leading the PAL (Peer Assisted Learning) program and training student ambassadors.Facilitating professional development, workshops, and meetings with department heads.Creating and maintaining academic and well-being resources, while analyzing feedback to improve services.

In a specialist setting, I taught in a differentiated style to cater to the VCAL & ACSF Literacy and Numeracy framework to a range of disenfranchised primary and high school students as a Classroom Teacher.I taught functional and communicative English (EAL) to Asylum Seekers.I taught Guitar and worked as a vocal coach.I developed and taught a differentiated and integrated Music Curriculum/program that satisfied VCAL, Ausvels, VET & ACSF standards and outcomes.I recorded and produced students music, demonstrating how students can develop a DIY approach to musical projects, inclusive of all genres of music (hip-hop / metal/ rock/pop).I used Music as a social activity and experience to boost the wellbeing and confidence of my students.I wrote reports within the VCAL & ACSF standards and framework.

Working within a leading social justice arts organisation, I co-facilitated drama workshops for adults with a diverse range of mental and physical disabilities, which amounted to an end of term showcase- in which members developed amongst themselves and put on a show of song, dance, puppet play and pantomime.

Within a qualified, engaged and dynamic team of Community workers, I helped to utilise a strength based approach to support disenfranchised, socially isolated clients with diverse needs in the context of an ongoing community Musical Jamboree Project at MICAH Projects in West End. Through the Brisbane City Council Library I privately tutored International Students, helping them to prepare for IELTS Exams.

Worked across Four schools for before and after school care, facilitating activities and catering services for students presenting with a variety of mental health issues and disabilities. 
Responsibilities / Skills included:- Supervising students aged between 5 to 12 years old - Facilitation of art, music and sports activities - Working with children with mobility issues, learning disabilities, Attention Deficit Disorder and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder- Applying restorative practises with students exhibiting aggressive behaviour- Providing empathy, support and advocacy - Risk management / Report writing / Team debriefings

Within the administration department, I worked in fast paced office space attending to the day to day support of the logistics of the Family Court. Responsibilities and Duties:- Sorting Mail- Updating court documents- Locating / collating / preparing / filing documents for court in written and electronic form

Worked with Two indigenous students with learning difficulties in Post-Modern literature, as part of their humanities studies. Both students passed with distinctions having failed previously.
