Nicholas Bashkiroff is a senior real estate development executive with more than 40 years of comprehensive experience in the property development business, gleaned from his extensive work with large organizations in the United States, Europe, Africa, Asia, and the Middle East. He has been responsible for visioning, creating, developing, and implementing complex mixed-use real estate projects in the first world as well as emerging markets.Mr. Bashkiroff recently served as Managing Director of the Project Development Unit of Al Akaria, a leading Saudi Real Estate Company established by royal decree in 1976 and listed on the Saudi stock exchange. In this capacity, he was leading the development of a mixed-use multi-billion dollar 7 million square metre community development, together with the Chairman, the land use approvals, and the first-ever self-regulatory rights for a non-governmental project in Saudi Arabia were secured. The project is under construction and ongoing development. Mr. Bashkiroff is also the Managing Director of Theodore Emerson DWC LLC a strategic Property Development Advisory Consultancy based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.Throughout his career and from his solid reputation as an authority on destination development, Mr. Bashkiroff has been the keynote speaker at numerous events, including the Urban Land Institute conference in New York.
