Corporation Tax subject matter expert. While still specialised in Corporation Tax, my responsibilities were broad. By using the legislative knowledge and experience acquired over three years training and working in a compliance role, I provided technical advice to the Software Developer Support Team to pass on to accountancy software houses. Overseeing the benefit analysis of the work and projects across the wider Business Delivery team to quantify cost savings and efficiency improvements to both the business and customers.Automation analysis and managing change requests for existing Corporation Tax robotics solutions to improve efficiencies and reduce failure rates.General management of internal Corporation Tax systems and company records.Alongside my CT responsibilities, I have also been working alongside the department's lead for EU Exit projects. Dialling in to project calls and extracting key information or figures for the appropriate stakeholders. Collating Customs work clearance stats to assist planning and forecasting.

Over three years as a Tax Specialist with experience of working with small to very large companies. My time with HMRC has given me a considerable knowledge of personal and company tax legislation, while expanding my general business and financial understanding. While specialising in corporation tax, I have also received training in bookkeeping, capital allowances, capital gains and accountancy. By applying the technical skills from my training, I independently ran a number of successful tax enquiries. Alongside my regular work, I also volunteered for the responsibility of being part of the digital ambassador team, whose goal were to improve the general IT skills of the department and assist with software package rollouts, i.e. Office365.

Over the busy Christmas period I worked in Data Entry helping to sort the surplus of deliveries made over the festive season. The work environment was fast-paced and a high level of accuracy was demanded, which allowed me to take full advantage of my IT proficiency. I was challenged to take on supervisory duties on occasion.

As part of a small back-of-house team, I was responsible for preparing orders to a very high standard as well as maintaining the kitchen’s stock rotation and level of hygiene. My role within the kitchen taught me a considerable amount about teamwork, but also gave me the confidence to work on my own through doing store openings and closings.
