I provide support for Yelp community managers in Las Vegas, NV and Portland, OR. The community department brings attention to the best local businesses in the area through in-person events, local partnerships, social media, and ongoing engagement with top local reviewers known as the Elite Squad. I am responsible for supporting the Yelp Elite community, both online and offline, in recruiting new reviewers, promoting local events and initiatives, contributing to the national blog and local social media, as well as providing support at live events.

Design and management of online educational and promotional content for the Home Baking Association, a national trade organization promoting the art of home baking. Members include General Mills, Land O'Lakes, C & H Sugar, Fleischmann's Yeast, ADM Milling Company, King Arthur Baking Company, Argo, Clabber Girl, The Hershey Company and many other nationally recognized brands.In an effort to enhance Home Baking Association's reputation with educators, I work directly with the executive director, executive board and advisory committees to design and promote educational resources for online and distance learning. Responsibilities include:• Hire, train and manage the social media coordinator. Help identify recent baking industry trends and schedule posts and online events in the form of Twitter parties, Facebook Live events, and webinars. Responsible for tracking online engagement via daily and monthly metrics, and reporting to the board of directors quarterly.• Compile and design monthly e-newsletter content for a national distribution list of 115,000 educators and baking industry professionals. • Help produce, edit and post website and blog content, as well as create promotional and educational graphics for web and social media (currently a library of over 2,000 graphics) • Pitch and produce educational products such as the nationally recognized children's book, Baking with Friends. Responsibilities include writing and editing content, design, print and marketing of the resulting products. • Make quarterly presentations to the board of directors, as well as speak at the annual conference outlining the organization's professional achievements during the previous year.

My responsibilities included researching new titles published each year, and identifying authors actively involved in self-promotion and community outreach. I was responsible for communicating with media, educators, librarians, parents and counselors about the annual list of award-winning children's books. With over 40 classifications, featured books are awarded in 4 distinct groups: Lifestyle, Arts and Letters, Society and Culture, and Education. This list is promoted throughout the year with additional activities and lesson plan resources made available.
