In addition to his role at WKU, he serves as a senior consultant for the Civic Innovation Group, a consulting firm that assists communities with civic engagement, talent, and placemaking strategies.Nick holds a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership and Policy from the University of Louisville. His bachelor's and master’s degrees are both in history. He has completed post-doctoral study at the Harvard Graduate School of Education and Johns Hopkins University. At WKU, he teaches courses in school law, finance, and policy. He previously served as the director of the doctoral program in educational and organizational leadership.Prior to joining the faculty at WKU, he served as the superintendent of the Owensboro Independent School District.
