In my role as a pharmacist manager of Gardens Compounding Pharmacy I have been responsible for;- Staff recruiting and management- Rostering- Compounding and formulation development- Providing education to Allied Health Teams- Managing 7CPA claims and remuneration- Clinical trials - Simple and complex counselling - Process development for discharges from surgery- QCPP 2020 audit and process improvement- Dispensary and dispensary software implementation- Staff trainingIn my time managing the compounding we have doubled our prescription volume every year for 4 years and GP$ has increased 5-fold in the same time.

In my 3rd year as a pharmacist I began working at Kawungan Pharmacy. In that time I began as a pharmacist on duty to become the pharmacist in charge and for a brief time the managing partner. My role included;- managing dispensary operations- procurement and implementation of packing automation- Pharmacy Brand change to Chemmart- attendance of local MAC meetings with our Aged Care Partners - Membership as the pharmacist representative on the Medicare Locals, now PHN, committee- Advisor on local Aged Care process improvement committees- Training of local allied health groups- Support group education including Parkinson’s and Vision AustraliaIn my time at Kawungan we increased our aged care contracts from 2 homes to 7 and increased our community DAA patients from 45 to over 180. I am proud of the leadership skills and management skills gained as part of my role.
