About Nicholas Bauer

I'm a computational biologist with expertise in cell and molecular biology and I have a deep interest in technology and policy.What I really want to be doing is to apply my skills in software engineering, computational biology, and/or superresolution microscopy to the development of a new product, something I can point to and say "I built that".My past research interests have included the regulation of protein activity through localization, DNA damage and repair, molecular evolution, and long noncoding RNA biology. I've accumulated a particular expertise in budding yeast (S. cerevisiae), mammalian cell culture, advanced microscopy (including superresolution) and image analysis, and software development.
