He undertook that in conjunction with his Notarial practice and a number of external business and not for profit external business, charitable and voluntary appointments in the wider business community, including acting as a school governor for over 12 years and being a board member on the South East LEP. He regularly wrote and lectured on property law.Nicholas was a National Council member of the Institute of Directors for over a decade (having previously held the post of Chairman of the Essex Branch for three years).
