Provide IT support to small and medium-sized businesses, primarily based in northern California. Set up & migrate domains, servers, email, applications, phones, devices, etc. as needed. Emphasis on Microsoft Windows/Exchange/Office and Citrix XenDesktop.

Home visits to over 100 clients. Cleaned and optimized Windows and Mac systems, fixed hardware and software problems, set up and fixed home wireless networks. Occasionally designed web sites for authors. Tutored some clients one-on-one weekly in using a GUI, word processing, e-mail, and photo organization. Beta tester for business accounting software.

Responsible for operation of Windows computers in 2 main campus computer labs and many departmental labs and classrooms. Developed and maintained solutions to set up, image, update, and keep clean all Windows lab computers. Hired, trained, and managed over 50 students/year to provide technical support to students by telephone and in person at computer.

Office visits to faculty & staff when issues could not be resolved by telephone. One-on-one help for some faculty and staff on using e-mail, word processing, etc. Participation in various IT projects.

Responsible for new database software tracking Amherst College's fine art collection (Multi-MIMSY). Catalogued thousands of new entries; verified database held a complete record of the collection. Managed technical side of move of entire collection out of building for renovation. Technical support for museum staff.
