This position entails providing direction, guidance and engineering expertise to local and global team members. Reviewing work performed by designers, engineers and other project team members. along with setting goals for the team. Develops schedules, agendas, facilitates and documents project meetings. Engineer for Ultrasound General Imaging LOGIQ E9 and E10 programs. The Lead Hardware Integrator is the key focal point for the Hardware Team on all NPI and sustaining activities. The role includes driving cross-functional engagement between the Hardware Team and other engineering functions (software, systems, verification). This position entailed direct involvement with every department within the company to ensure there were no issues with these products.Key aspects/tasks accomplished:- Reduced weight and hand arm vibration while improving the overall performance of a concrete screed prototype within a 12 month time frame by leading the complete redesign of the original prototype version.- Designed and minimized cost of components for a new ride-on trowel on schedule by working directly with the fabrication department and suppliers to optimize the design for fabrication processes and to accommodate pre-existing components from suppliers.- Introduced backpack and pole vibrators on time for the 2008 show season by creating the necessary documentation and overseeing the process.- Reduced gear tooth stresses approximately 66% in 3 weeks by analyzing the current design and redesigning the gears to withstand the loading on the backpack and pole vibrator transmissions.

Researched the effects of catalyst deterioration on small utility engines.Key aspects/tasks accomplished:- Analyzed emissions over the lifetime of the engines during the 1.5 year study in order to help meet upcoming emissions standards.- Reported emissions data monthly to industry experts and professors involved in small engines in the state of Wisconsin by highlighting key points as the project progressed.- Reduced crankshaft keyway failures in 3 months by having the undersized pre-cast key removed from the blade adapter and cutting a more accurate keyway into the adapter.

Oversaw operations in the engineering machine shop and assisted others with using the equipment.Key aspects/tasks accomplished:- Improved students’ knowledge of basic machining practices daily by assisting them in designing components and demonstrating practices in the engineering machine shop.- Built prototype lab equipment within 1-2 weeks of the request by expediting materials and organizing the project priorities.- Produced torsion and tensile samples on schedule by setting up the machines to duplicate the samples.
