Mr. Skovran’s professional accomplishments include:Project Manager of a government owned-contractor operated {GOCO} $23.7 million contract. The activities and processes related to the contract are as follows: project management plan to include the scope, project plan and variance report and the 5-month transition schedule.As the management representative for the organization’s ISO Journey, Nick incorporated the ISO 9001 requirements into daily operations in the attainment of the organization’s certification. He led a 40 person implementation team over the course of three years. Nick presented the six sigma methodology as a continuous improvement model to the senior leadership team. Upon approval by the senior leadership team, Nick provided the team Champion Training. Nick also provided the ISO Implementation team Green Belt training. He continues to lead, participate on, and facilitate internal operational ISO 9001 quality management reviews.Served as a Board of Examiners Member for three years for the Pennsylvania State Quality Award – Keystone Alliance for Performance Excellence utilizing the Baldrige Criteria for Performance Excellence. Activities included: performing independent application assessment, development of team consensus application assessment of the organization’s strengths and opportunities for improvement, attending a site visit to perform document review and interviews as appropriate and submission of the final team assessment to the Board of Judges. He has over 40 years of experience and a broad understanding of the steel, construction, manufacturing, health systems, health insurer and government contracting entities. He assists organizations who wish to plan, market, reorganize, redesign and change their people, operations and organizations to be cost competitive while improving service and product quality.Nick has served as a Pennsylvania State Quality Award Examiner for three years for the Keystone Alliance for Performance Excellence (KAPE).Nick has been a senior member of ASQ since 1993. As a member of the Pittsburgh Section of ASQ Education Committee, Nick has been teaching the Certified Quality Engineer course since 1996 and was instrumental in transferring the curriculum to a webinar offering.
