TC Energy is my first exposure to a large corporate environment and an online work environment. Within pipeline integrity. In the summer of 2020 I had the opportunity to repair a 1992 Ford F150 that hadn't seen public pavement, let alone fresh gas in 15 years. As an automotive enthusiast, it was impossible for me to let a 30-year-old truck with no rust and 60 000 km rot away. Working on cars was something I always wanted to do but never had the opportunity. This project introduced me to my first repairs to the drivetrain, body, brakes, steering, suspension, and electrical components on the truck (yes that is the entire truck). Blood, sweat, and tears were involved, but was met with the immense gratification of legally driving it on a public roadway and ultimately turning a profit. Ask me about it and I won't stop talking about it. I LOVE CARS.

Within Civil Engineering at UNB the Offsite Construction Research Center I worked to develop the framework for researching process improvements within a structural steel factory. By combining both in field work and data collection invaluable information was gained surrounding assembly line processes.Key Tasks:- Conducted a time study which determined bottlenecks in a structural steel plant allowing workers to better prioritize the use of gantry cranes- Designed a database involving correlation and regression analysis which allowed for better scheduling of projects based on features on the steel member being produced- Delivered presentations to stakeholders to advise on plant optimization activities- Developed a testing standard to yield repeatable results

With strong roots in non-destructive testing Mach85 Inc. was my first introduction to engineering. Exposure to digital image correlation, camera calibration procedures and safety checklists that contribute to new and emerging applications demonstrating endless possibilities for the technology.Key Tasks:- Developed and verified company standards and procedures allowing them to be compliant with the standards ISO 17025 and AS9100D- Calibrated, maintained, and tested highly valuable testing equipment yielding consistent and reliable ballistic tests where speeds exceed 5000km/hr- Maintained thousands of data entries to enable more accurate light gas gun test velocities- Conducted field tests using digital image correlation to determine the feasibility of the technology’s use for structural members on a bridge
