Potential Motors was my first engineering position post graduation. Working as an Automotive Engineer allowed me to work every day on the mechanical systems I am the most passionate about: cars. With the industry going electric it was exciting to be a part of such a fast moving industry and fast moving team.Key Tasks:- Designed and implemented IP67 waterproof enclosures for the prototype electric vehicle which permitted safe and reliable function in wet and winter weather conditions- Identified, resolved, and repaired functional issues of the first prototype vehicle increasing the suspension travel by 3in and decreasing the turning circle by 7ft- Scheduled, conducted, and documented a regular maintenance on the prototype electric vehicle reducing the down time by 50%- Used CAD to lead the design of the production electric vehicle’s suspension by developing a method to iterate through over 40 configurations resulting in suspension with an easily manufacturable design and safe performance metrics- Developed mathematical models to determine functional and strength requirements of powertrain and suspension components which reduced the time spent reviewing an iteration by 2 hours- Met all production deadlines through professional, proactive, supplier communication

The pipeline integrity department ensures safe operation and maintenance of the natural gas pipelines.Key Tasks:- Trained and managed a team that resulted in the timely delivery of over 100 projects of varying difficulty- Drafted technical documents conforming to industry standards resulting in safe and timelymaintenance of natural gas pipelines- Led a process improvement initiative enabling engineers to deliver accurate safety critical memos in less time- Developed over 15 training documents which ensured a smooth transition of responsibilities to new interns

In the summer of 2020 I had the opportunity to repair a 1992 Ford F150 that hadn't seen public pavement, let alone fresh gas in 15 years. As an automotive enthusiast, it was impossible for me to let a 30-year-old truck with no rust and 60 000 km rot away. Working on cars was something I always wanted to do but never had the opportunity. This project introduced me to my first repairs to the drivetrain, body, brakes, steering, suspension, and electrical components on the truck (yes that is the entire truck). Blood, sweat, and tears were involved, but was met with the immense gratification of legally driving it on a public roadway and ultimately turning a profit. Ask me about it and I won't stop talking about it. I LOVE CARS.

Within Civil Engineering at UNB the Offsite Construction Research Center I worked to develop the framework for researching process improvements within a structural steel factory. By combining both in field work and data collection invaluable information was gained surrounding assembly line processes.Key Tasks:- Conducted a time study which determined bottlenecks in a structural steel plant allowing workers to better prioritize the use of gantry cranes- Designed a database involving correlation and regression analysis which allowed for better scheduling of projects based on features on the steel member being produced- Delivered presentations to stakeholders to advise on plant optimization activities- Developed a testing standard to yield repeatable results
