As a Design Project Manager, I oversee engineering projects to ensure the projects meet established schedule, quality and financial expectations. Responsible for the design and trouble shooting of industrial refrigeration systems used in the food processing and distribution industries. Job responsibilities included: • Working with senior engineers and customers on design and value engineering of refrigeration systems to meet very specific requirements. Included but not limited to:- Sizing and routing of pipe and duct work- Sizing and selecting correct air units, condensers, compressors, pumps, valves and tanks for different refrigerants and water- Design of skids and shop built penthouses that were pre fabricated before being shipped to job sites• Marking up and submitting shop drawings and equipment submittals to customers and general contractors. - Working with electrical contractors for power to equipment, architects for duct work and piping locations, as well as structural contractors for roof supports and pads for equipment. • Travel for field visits to meet with customers and to confirm design and as built conditions• Travel to plants to perform as built calculations and PSM calculations such as relief calculations, MEB calculations, inventory calculations and more.

Job responsibilities included: • Creating and maintaining a budget from the bidding stage through the completion of the project.- Projects ranged from a few thousand dollars to a several million dollars. • Working with senior engineers and customers on design and value engineering of refrigeration systems to meet very specific requirements. Included but not limited to:- Sizing and routing of pipe and duct work- Sizing and selecting correct air units, condensers, compressors, pumps, valves and tanks for different refrigerants and water- Design of skids and shop built penthouses that were pre fabricated and installed at the job site• Marking up and submitting shop drawings and equipment submittals to customers and general contractors. • Ordering construction materials and setting up delivery to allow for timely installations with no delays• Supervised and coordinated with field superintendents to insure projects ran efficiently.• Creating a schedule and working with other contractors to ensure project timelines were met• Coordination with general contractors and other sub contractors for installation. This included:- Working with electrical contractors for power to equipment, architects for duct work and piping locations, as well as structural contractors for roof supports and pads for equipment. • Travel and field visits to meet with customers and to confirm design and installation of projects are correct and on schedule.• Scheduling start up of systems and helping trouble shoot systems once up and running. • Following up and working with customers for warranty issues after project has been complete.
