I am a dedicated & enthusiastic educational leader & forever seeker-of-knowledge. My passion for teaching & learning, in partnership with my commitment to continuous improvement & efficiency, have provided me with some of the richest & most incredibly rewarding experiences in education. I remain constantly aware of the voice that says, “but what if we fail” while never really allowing that voice a broader audience because I keep my attention & focus on doing “what’s best for kids/learners.”I have a background that includes teaching students of all ability levels from kindergarten to adults, & has had an added emphasis in instructional design & implementation, curricular design & implementation, at-risk populations & their needs, gifted & talented services, differentiation & intervention, & the social-emotional development & needs of all students. I am also known to be a vocal supporter of student rights, with a firm belief that ALL kids CAN & SHOULD succeed, so we ALL need to do whatever it takes to make sure this is a vision that can become a reality for each & every single student we can.I am an educational leader who makes every effort to use relevant & accurate data to drive my decisions. I do not believe that all data is good data, so I proceed cautiously when analyzing data sources. If someone looks at a data set long enough, with desire to see certain specific outcomes, they will see them. Our decisions as leaders cannot be made with misleading or false data as the fuel. At the center of who I am as a person, is the commitment to collaboration & to building appropriate & meaningful relationships with others in order to help us all reach our greatest potential. I ensure always that my efforts are made in the spirit of celebrating & bolstering that in each of my personal & professional relationships. I strive for success every day by working to know more, be better, & serve others.
