CurrentOverall responsibility for ensuring business is in strict compliance with state laws/mandates. Creation and execution of contractor, subcontractor agreements and NDAs, maintain strong business relationships with local utilities, city municipalities, regulatory agencies. Provide leadership to staff including counseling, development, coaching, specific tasks involved with assigned work, selection and/or approval of new hires, performance improvement plans, and disciplinary action. Provide Quality Assurance and feedback/support for all Compliance matters and issues. Responsible for supporting and participating in new business opportunities such as, but not limited to RFPs, RFIs, RFQs, RFAs. Provide support with new and existing City and local utility Energy Efficiency, Electrification, Water Conservation, and Sustainable programs for Optima Energy. Project Management support with major customer USC. Responsible for maintaining and expanding huge network of business associations with contacts in our business industry (i.e., City Municipalities, local utilities, California Public Utilities Commission, Contractors State License Board, Subcontractors, Independent Contractors, Metropolitan Water District, Department of Industrial Relations, Law Firms, LADBS, and customers). Professional writer for Optima Energy, supply verbiage for briefs, contractual agreements, especially as it applies to legal communications, revisions/additions on external communications. Creation of letters of a confidential nature, address any personnel issues, disciplinary issues. Responsibility for supporting HR initiatives such as screening resumes, interview of potential candidates for hire, the onboarding process. Development of Job Descriptions for all employees. Elevate issues with external stakeholders when necessary to address/resolve. Support owner of Optima Energy with any additional duties/tasks/business objectives on a regular basis.
