Built in .NET 4.5 using MVC4 and C#, the application handles credit card tokenization via an external service as well as processing transations. By using credit card tokenization (and thereby not storing sensitive credit card data), we were able to minimize the PA-DSS scope of the SuiteSolution product which in turn reduces ongoing software audit overhead.

Key ProjectsMedia Management Platform (MMP)The MMP is a web-based video capture, broadcast and ingestion point for the larger Irdeto content management system. My responsibilities relate to the capture components (filter graphs) in Microsoft DirectShow, as well as utilizing 3rd party hardware SDK's for the video capture cards. In later versions I added the capability to capture and broadcast in MPEG4/H.264, as well as interfacing with our media rights management service to provide DRM protected Windows Media files / streams.Queued Task Service (QTS)QTS is service based task processing system used by the majority of our other systems. Since it was designed as a replacement for our previous task processing system, I was involved from the beginning in data/object modeling and use case analysis. During the development and support phases most of my responsibilities have been QTS plug-ins that reflectively load in and out of memory in order to process incoming tasks.Media Thumbnail GeneratorThe thumbnail generator is a QTS plug-in that creates image thumbnails from media files that are displayed in the content management system UI. Previous performance was unsatisfactory, as image quality was low, and turnaround time too long. By having the image scaling performed by a new algorithm image quality improved remarkably. By multithreading the code to take advantage of multiple processor cores, and doing all operations in memory, generation speeds increased on the order of 100X.
