Orise Fellow
CurrentAs an ORISE Fellow, I work on the Strategic Partnership and Policy Team in the Lead Poisoning Prevention and Surveillance Branch (CDC/NCEH/DEHSP). Here, I work as Deputy Committee Management Specialist of the Lead Exposure and Prevention Advisory Committee (LEPAC), in which I build relevant partnerships and coalitions between federal-, state-, and community-level stakeholders to ultimately advise and develop policies aimed at preventing childhood lead exposure within the United States. I also am heavily involved in synthesizing and analyzing the current political landscape of state-wide lead poisoning prevention and abatement regulations, as well as how practiced activities might differ from these mandates. Additionally, I am responsible for spearheading branch-wide responses to relevant FOIA requests and providing editorial support for journal articles submissions. This is a year long fellowship in which I work full time (40 hours a week)
