• Reengineered production MSVC++ application running against a Btrieve database, first to run simultaneously against Btrieve and SQL Server databases in order to performance test a SQL Server solution, then cutting over to SQL Server. This involved significant refactoring of existing C++ code as well as redesigning Btrieve queries to run against a SQL Server database.• Designed and implemented a suite of ant tasks, using ftp, telnet, and http, automating the transformation of data files and workflow, replacing two FTEs.• Reduced the number of incidents occurring during the "Service By Others" nightly batch from one or two a week to one or two a year.• Provided support and enhancement of a suite of reporting and reconciliation tools developed using Microsoft Office 2003; streamlined the tools' use; fixed data and application errors; and supported version upgrades.
