Lecturer for the following courses at UC Merced: Microbial Evolution, Virology, Molecular Immunology, Molecular Immunology Lab, Evolution and Development, Introduction to Molecular Biology, To Know Ourselves: The Molecular Basis of Health and Disease.Lead and organized lower and upper division courses in the field of biology for both major and non-major students. Designed course syllabi. Developed and conducted weekly lectures (1-1.25 hours). Worked closely with 1-3 co-instructors in certain courses to implement a backward design teaching model. Designed and administered midterm and final exams (1-3 hours long, depending on course and the exam, multiple choice/short answer/essay questions). Met regularly with Teacher’s Assistants (1-3 TAs per semester) to design and administer activities and presentations for weekly discussion sections. Assisted students during weekly office hours sections, advising them on this course as well as possible post-graduate opportunities. Organized and led “Project Protect”, an outreach program aimed at educating the general public regarding the phenomenon of antibiotic resistance
