Currently, I lead a team of three including another quality engineer, supplier quality engineer, and inspection supervisor. Responsibilities include:- Overseeing nonconformance documentation, disposition, and closure. Driving continuous improvement to reduce quantity of defects generated.- Leading the Corrective Action Board, analyzing trends, determining root cause, implementing corrective action, and tracking effectivity.- Providing Quality review and approval of all new engineering documents and all changes to existing engineering.- Generating work instructions for inspection and providing Quality review and approval for all new and changed manufacturing work instructions.- Creating, witnessing, completing, and approving all First Article Inspection reports in MEC. Interfacing with programs and customers when customer approval is required.- Documenting all Material Review Board (MRB) decisions, such as Use-As-Is and Repair, and providing to MEC's customers for approval. Fielding all questions from technical teams and customers as necessary for concurrence.- Generating internal audit schedule, performing audits, and documenting results- Supporting all external audits, including NQA and/or BSI AS9100 audits, Defense Contracts Management Agency (DCMA) audits, and program customer audits (JAMS, JPO, etc.)

Built approximately 40 units, reporting all design and manufacturing issues back to the team.- Hardware Quality Engineer overseeing our EMI gridding area. Using photolithography and metal deposition, the area produced metal gridding lines on sapphire panels for various programs.
