Support day to day operations of the PC Simulator whose primary focus is to train Ab Initio En Route trainees in air traffic control. In supporting the simulator's operation, I provide technical advice and solutions in both hardware and software concerns. This includes operational equipment and data capture software.Additionally, I provide learning materials, present tutorials on simulator topics and pilot many forms of control within the En Route curriculum, including assessments. Management of peripheral needs and basic support functions to the trainees is in the scope of this role.As theory instructor, I facilitate and deliver various modules. Primarily and not limited to, I teach Meteorology at a commercial pilot's level and am the subject matter expert for this. I provide learning materials, run tutorials and present classroom sessions in dynamic ways to ensure effective learning. I prepare materials, aides and resources as required and recently have been involved in updating the Meteorology package. This has included devising robust assessments and effective tutorial strategies, designing facilitator and trainee guides and implementing a feedback system in order to road test the changes.
