Starting off my collegiate career as a business management major, I had no idea accounting is what I would excel at. After the first two semesters of taking the basic prerequisite courses for the business school, my highest grade each semester was in the intro to accounting courses (even higher than my elective courses, which were supposed to be an ‘easy A’). Both of my professors took notice in how well I picked up on the material and excelled in class, and suggested I consider changing my major to accounting. After a little persuasion, the following year I began my journey into the world of accounting.Learning and understanding accounting does not come without its fair share of challenges but that’s what keeps me motivated, as I know there is always room for improvement. Now that I’m graduated and equipped to enter the workforce, I’m looking to bring my talents and enthusiasm to a great accounting position where I can make a difference.
