Nick has two key themes that have resonated throughout his career: data driven solutions and entrepreneurship. His focus led him to co-found four companies in the tech space, with two of them being acquired. His latest firm, Five by Five, is a culmination of his obsession with data and leveraging it to drive products and top-line revenue. Five by Five was built for the sole purpose of powering data driven product companies.Nick has started building a well-rounded leadership philosophy that centers on his three “Cs”; Customers, Culture and Character. He believes the customer needs to be at the center of every conversation and based on his early success in each of his ventures that is proving to be a great strategy. His second leadership tenant focuses on ensuring he is intentional about culture from top to bottom, in every company he has built. His third tenet is character, Nick only looks for the best “people” with the emphasis on the person. They have to be committed to their family, friends and community, it is from this perspective he then looks at their skills next. His management teams, fellow associates, advisors and investors all have a very similar take on Nick, he cares about those he works with and wants them to win.Lastly, Nick has invested a great deal if time in mentoring and supporting his network of fellow Babson entrepreneurs. His time at the college was a gift in so many ways, and he intends to keep paying it forward as so many professors, alumni and classmates have done for him.
