Engineer
CurrentProvide engineering consultation, project management, and construction support for concurrent oil and gas projects – liquid and gas pipelines, barge and ship docks, vapor recovery systems, storage tanks systems, regulator stations, facilities and other related oil and gas projects. Responsibilities: Perform feasibility studies for upcoming projects Develop proposals for projects Coordinate with project managers on engineering design effort, procured equipment and construction progress Process engineering - Generate and update P&IDs, line, tie-point, valve, instrument, and major equipment lists Conduct encroachment studies for piping crossingMAOP (Maximum Allowable Operating Pressure) Validation Examine piping drawings and bill of materials Ensure procure equipment acceptable for processed products and hydrocarbons such as Butane, Ethanol, MTBE - Methyl Tertiary Butyl Ether, PGP – Polymer Grade Propylene Perform Horizontal Directional Drill (HDD) Stress Calculations, Crossing Load Calculations, Piping Pressure Calculations Develop weld matrix schedule to support construction with mechanical connections Evaluate, create and determine equipment specifications for various applications Review piping drawings and isometrics for quality and accuracy Develop cost estimates for procured equipment, piping material and engineering services for 6-14 million dollar projects Execute bid evaluation for procurement equipment and piping materials Negotiate with vendors on equipment pricing, shipping terms, and general terms and conditions Ensure specification and code compliance with engineering design and procured equipment Manage and track materials, equipment drawings, and appropriate documentation Create one-line diagrams for pipeline segment route Organized dig correlation packages Generate mainline hydrostatic test procedures
