In 2010 I graduated from the University of Minnesota, Duluth with a BS in Management Information Systems. After college I worked a temp position at HCL providing help desk support and customer service. From there I secured full time employment with Arvig, an employee-owned broadband telecommunications company servicing rural Minnesota and parts of the Twin Cities. There I worked first as a Tier 1 help desk in assisting customers with connection, software configurations, and outage issues, before being promoted to Tier 2. As Tier 2, I work customer tickets escalated from Tier 1, provision for field techs, and have special project time developing dashboards and alerts to track Help Desk stats via Splunk.
