Education:B.A. in Biology/Philosophy - Univ. of Missouri (2007)M.S. in Secondary Science Education- Univ. of Missouri, College of Education (2008)+37 hrs. graduate course work - Learning Teaching, & Curriculum - Univ. of Missouri (2014)I believe that empowering students with the ambition to change the world they are inheriting as well as equipping them with academic and social tools to accomplish those changes is the true purpose of education.I am interested in innovate ways to promote public scholarship between scientists and rural communities, build positive opportunities to mentor students through gamification, and collaborating on innovative resources to promote inclusion and target different learning styles.This journey inspired me to utilize the talents and skills I obtained building Glassroom Hive to maximize my own ambition. Embedding digital resources, methods, and communication between teachers, students, and parents has been a focus of my personal responsibility in educating pre-service teachers.
