Reconciliation and clearing of bank accounts which include Citibank and local bank accounts. Responsible for checking the bank balances agree to SAP.Liaising with the Markets to confirm local bank account balances / request bank statements and follow up on any outstanding issues.Daily clear down of bank accounts. Closely working with wider teams; AR, Payments, Intercompany and Treasury to resolve all outstanding items. Complete the Cash positions in Oasis for Treasury Group reporting to JT on a weekly basis. Bank reconciliations under Japanese Sarbanes Oxley (JSOX) controls around month end.Control owner for JSOX (Japanese Sarbanes Oxley) ensuring accurate/timely evidencing of the Controls under the team’s responsibility.

Day-to-day:Responsible for reconciling approximately 60 bank accounts and 80 suspense accounts on a daily basis; this was vital in order to observe strict financial controls and included balance sheet reconciliations at month end.I made timely bookings of cash to the P&L and the balance sheet by posting to the correct GL/vendor accounts.Running daily/monthly leading and lagging metrics in order to aid management decision making and track progress. Partnering with the wider business in order to resolve outstanding queries and requests.Proficient user of SAP, treasury management system, MS office packages, and banking platformsDaily treasury: this involved processing transactions in both CITI bank and BMG bank. The volume and complexity of transactions would vary on a daily basis and flexibility was required in order to respond to business need. There were always strict deadlines to adhere to due to cut off times dictated by the bank in order to have the deal processed. Accuracy and speed were essential to ensure timely delivery of treasury transactions. The types of transactions processed included high value and high impact FX, ECP and MMF.Process owner for managing cash across multiple high volume European markets. Cover and support also provided for colleagues across the remaining markets.Projects:Supply Chain finance project; I volunteered to use my analytical skills to carry out root cause analysis of the underlying issues faced in reconciling the supply chain finance suspense accounts. This involved a complex investigation using resources from multiple sources.Revaluation project; I am currently working on a project to assist with the automatic revaluation of the cash accounts in SAP.
