NG1 Group provides commercial property services - we provide Nottingham city centre workspace which includes offices, big and small, studios, salons, co-working spaces, and virtual office services.In a start up, nomadic or hybrid environment we can help with anything from a business address, a desk by the hour, meeting rooms, phones, fibre connections and other reliable and flexible office services to help our clients make a professional presence in the City.This can include the sourcing, development and managing of city centre property plus a property search, management and problem solving consultancy. My background (and don't bother reading further if it doesn't matter!) is in various management roles, including in the leisure and construction sectors, business sales management and then I moved successfully for many years into financial services. That was initially in a large organisation, eventually merged with Zurich Life, and then from 1997 I developed a start up business as a qualified independent financial adviser and finance broker. From around 2003 I became more involved in property both as an investment asset class and in terms of providing development finance. The property side of the business expanded so that now, apart from a brief and (unsuccessful!) spell in local politics, I focus only on this and am particularly interested and involved in city centre development and regeneration and through involvement with the Nottingham Civic Society.My formal financial background from around 1986 till 2008 means that I stand a better chance of understanding the financing structures, thus viability, behind a property development proposition!

That element was scaled back from 2012 and the business moved forward in an alternative direction.The company focus now was the development and management of office space in Nottingham plus acting as managing agent for a Clegg Group company which was the owner of a high end apartment development in the Lace Market. In addition we acted as independent "property finders" and consultants to developers and investor groups.Following some operational changes the company was closed in September 2018 having fulfilled all of its current contracts and transferred other continuing business to the NG1 Group company. I developed a couple of small independent financial services companies providing personal and corporate financial services plus mortgage broking services. Also we had some involvement in off-shore and property based assets although we managed to completely avoid some of the murkier aspects of that business in the headiest days! We successfully navigated ourselves away from our regulator, the Financial Services Authority (FSA), with a clean sheet and not one complaint following 10 years… Show more I developed a couple of small independent financial services companies providing personal and corporate financial services plus mortgage broking services.
