- Wrote curriculum for five new lessons incorporating California's next generation science standards for students in grades 1-4. - Educated students in grades K-7 during various half-day and full-day programs focused on Chumash Native American life, cycles in nature, habitats, and living history of Californian inhabitants. - Led half-day educational lessons titled Wonder of Water, Rock Star (astronomy/geology), Web of Life (wildlife ecology), Hill Hike (exploring different plant communities), Orienteering, and more during residential programs.- Co-Managed Student Store- Provided round-the-clock customer service to all visiting students, teachers, and parents during residential programs.- Practiced regular animal husbandry, caring for: a King Snake, a Corn Snake, a Rosy Boa, a Burmese Python, Turtles, Fire-Bellied Toads, Bullfrogs, a Leopard Gecko, Hissing Cockroaches, Rats, Walking Sticks, a Tarantula, Chickens, a rabbit, Sea Stars, a Swell Shark, Rock Fish, a Red-Tailed Hawk, a Turkey Vulture, a Barn Owl, and a Great-Horned Owl.- Led half-day and full-day marine-science based trips to Morro Bay and Cayucos, featuring tide-pooling, estuary education, and squid dissection. - Developed and implemented Orienteering curriculum, including the design/construction of 4 compass courses.- Trained (as one of only 12 schools in the pilot program) to implement Lawrence Hall of Science's new B.E.E.T.L.E.S. educational framework for experiential education.- Constructed authentic Native American hut using Tulee and Willow. - Mentored incoming interns on their educational and professional development. - Performed as master of ceremonies, song leader, pianist, and featured player at variety show styled campfire performances.- Painted cabins, bathhouse, railings, picnic tables, and educational murals.- Supervised large volunteer groups in campus renovation and beautification projects.
