Dr Nicholas Nicoloudis is a Technical Innovation Executive at SAP.Nicholas is a passionate executive, who has architected and developed market leading software applications for the past 16 years. His career began as a founder and technical architect at iComply, a small local software provider for which Nicholas developed iAppraise, a scalable omni-channel product that was the company’s largest selling solution and was subsequently implemented by many national and international customers, including Continental Airlines, Unilever, and Kraft. While working at iComply and researching for his PhD dissertation, Nicholas became interested in mobile applications and developed a platform-agnostic web service architecture for mobile devices and mobile data mining. This led to Nicholas becoming the Asia Pacific Software Architect at Intermec Technologies, data capture and information management company. He subsequently became Director of Research and Product Development at Airloom, a leading mobile technology services firm, and the Vice President of Research and Product Development at Silverback MDM, a device management and security software start-up.As a highly respected innovator, Nicholas was invited by Microsoft to participate on Project 7 which became the .NET framework v1.0 and contributed to Project Starlight which became the first .NET Compact Framework. Further, Nicholas developed one of the first autonomous mobile phone web servers that could host web services (bit.ly/1Tw6UWU). In addition to his business career, Dr Nicoloudis is a widely respected academic. He lectured one of the first mobile application development subjects at Monash, was an honorary associate of the Centre of Distributed Systems and Software Engineering and has presented at many leading academic institutions, such as Cambridge University. Some of his published papers are referenced within patents filed by Microsoft.

As a VP of Research and Development at Silverback, I was involved in developing and creating new ways for our team to manage mobile devices. We experimented different approaches and identified best practices to use in our software. I managed a small team of developers and engaged product management to complete new features using innovative approaches.

I work with ISV's/partners and assist them port their solutions to the Intermec platform. I primarily focus on mobility and RFID.

Worked full time lecturer in 2004. From 2005 onwards I lectured several subjects until 2008. I also supervised several honors students

Company was previously Performance Management Systems.I was involved building the company and then being allocated share and being a part business owner. I later sold share since there was no further interest in developing new IT ideas and applications.
