• Manage the technical team to provide technical support on all cigarette making machines to reduce downtime to a barest minimum, thus ensuring quality cigarettes are produced as well as increase in machine uptime.
• Manage maintenance team to work on machines according to schedule (Machine modules) by focusing on activities to maintain, repair and improve overall equipment efficiency.
• Reviews and controls the standardization of materials and spare parts for mechanical equipment and related systems. Reviews stock quantities, usage and consumption to minimize the stock value, whilst ensuring that all.
• Coordinate maintenance work on machines according to schedule (machine modules) by focusing on activities to maintain, repair and improve OEE (overall equipment efficiency) of the machines.
• Responsible for delivering the PQCDSM – Production, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Safety and Morale - results necessary to achieve the Compelling Business Need by rigorous application of RTT/ IWS tools
• Implementing scheduled maintenance tasks and fixing of identified defects to eliminate breakdown/maintenance related losses

• Ensure employee safety by making sure all safety guards and locks are adhered to according to EHS and OEM safety procedures.
• Support the production team to achieve daily targets and machine reliability.
• Carry out on the job coaching for operators.
• Carry out maintenance tasks, MP&S inspections on equipment wear and tear to prevent unnecessary downtime and machine breakdown.
