The British Bodyguard Association is a not for profit organisation that aims to embrace professionalism amongst its members and further spread this professionalism for the benefit of the industry as a whole.After taking over the British Bodyguard Association in January 2009 we set out to develop it in to a respected, Professional Security Industry Association. Significant steps were achieved in a short period of time, these included but were not limited to: a new public facing website, a VASTLY improved backend for the members only area providing powerful networking abilities for all, an online shop, improved membership packages to suit a wide variety of members, a vault of relative security uploads for members only.In addition to the more obvious improvements, in December 2010 we released our 1st iPhone App, a Security Q&A for those wishing to undertake an SIA exam in CP, Door Supervisor and CCTV. At the time of my departure from the BBA more applications are under developemnt which are due to be released in 2012.

After assuming control of what was an e-zine of only 2 issues we initially set out to improve the pdf issue for issue 3 and then produce a full colour printed issue from issue 4. The printed issue of the magazine has so far proven extremely popular. The design and look and feel of the production is beyond compare when set against the competition. The magazine is marketed as 'written by the professionals for the professionals' with the aim being to make it readable and understandable across the board. We feel that it is essential that people can read and understand the articles rather than being confused by the topic or the author so that you can benefit from what you read and hope to improve yourself and your delivery within the security industry. In January 2012 we released issue 14 (and all previous issues) on the iPad which is a significant step forward for the production. The magazine continues to be on of the finest magazines available to the security industry professional.

Director focussing on business development and the reorganisation of the company.

My first role for Elan was as a Security Consultant on a Diamond Mining project in Sierra Leone, West Africa. This project was extremely demanding but intensely satisfying.Responsibilities included, but were not limited to assessing the current security measures, suggesting and implementing upgrades, providing on-going training to the incumbent staff, providing close protection, removing minerals through legal channels to the EU and liaising with the local community to foster good relations.Upon returning from Africa i continued to consult for Elan Worldwide in matters regarding loss prevention and fraud investigations.A healthy relationship continues to exist with Elan Worldwide and its M.D.

After completing a gruelling selection process at the Parachute Regiment Depot I was posted to the 2nd Battalion, The Parachute Regiment. I completed 7 Operational Tours over a 7 year period and loved every minute of it!
