Managing a full team of 8 individuals to coordinate a live music video company to provide artists with a two song session in changing locations that reflect the identity of the artist and their genre. Focused on diversity in our team and the artists we work with, Culture Cauldron seeks to serve as a medium between artists and audiences that are both familiar and unfamiliar. The project exists on all social media platforms, with a compilation album to be released of the featured artists on January 1st, 2022.

My role as an intern is to provide research on rising startups and contribute 50-70 startups per week for the SXSW Pitch event. SXSW Pitch grants opportunities for groundbreaking and innovative startups from all corners of the world. In order to source these startups, I utilize databases such as Crunchbase, Pitchbook, LinkedIn, and numerous other websites so that they may be invited to apply to this international event.

Providing a weekly music column to be published through a queer perspective. This column gives reviews of newly released albums and discusses the pop culture surrounding certain artists and their work.

Assist with calendar appointments/scheduling for the Dept. Chair. Design and distribute graphics for Soyar's Lecture Series and determine student grades for lecture series. Handle through email, the collection of music industry minor applications including answering any inquiries or pertinent questions pertaining to policies. Handle both Fall and Spring Music Industry Minor advising via email correspondence in both mid-November and Mid-April. Schedule and hold music industry minor applicant interviews in April upon closure of the application process. Meet with the program coordinator to assess and evaluate qualified candidates for approval. Provide assistance with any special projects as determined by the B.M. Music Industry program coordinator/department chair. Observe necessary health requirements as needed.

Creating graphics for shows using images provided by artist’s team.Posting on venue social media outlets inline with show announcements and on sales.Make Facebook events for each show at the time of a show’s announcement.Developing marketing plans within given budgets.Creating paid digital ads through Facebook Ads Manager to run both there and on Instagram. Coordinating with local radio stations to buy radio spots and line up on air giveaways for appropriate shows.Send weekly campaigns through Mailchimp highlighting upcoming events and recent announcements.Build and manage a street team. Get posters/flyers printed to supply to team for distribution at area events/businesses/colleges/etc.

Established a Jazz Commercial Music Program multi-platform social media account while providing graphic design for events and concerts. Collaborating with faculty and students to create a biweekly Instagram Live interview series, Tea for Two, with student artists while serving as the host.

Serving as the team leader for student ambassadors for Syracuse audition days for incoming students. Moderating discussions and answering questions for potential students and their parents.

Collaborated with faculty and artists to advertise concerts through graphic design, Facebook banners/events, and Instagram posts/stories. Create modern templates for concert posters. Developing persona for social media platforms, interacting with followers, increasing following from 1,400 to 2,300.
