- Team leader of four people, systems architect and senior developer of www.yoused.com, an internet-based marketplace for the legal exchange of feature films between individuals, including a DRM licence obtention and revocation system based on Windows Media DRM for film ownership control (Java, JSP/Servlets, Struts, Ant, CSS, JavaScript, Flash, AS3, Tomcat, SSL, DB2/SQL, WM-DRM 10, WMF 11, C++, JNI, Java Web Start).- Design and development of a custom PKI-based internet security system for Voddnet’s Grid Delivery Network (GDN), a hybrid centralised/peer-to-peer large file transport solution (Java, PKI, OpenSSL).- Design and development of a video injection system acting as the single point of data entry to both yoused.com and the Voddnet GDN upon which it is based for file delivery (Ruby, FXRuby).- As a team leader of four, for Metaboli SA, design and development of a multi-protocol video-game download manager capable of download via http, https, ftp, BitTorrent and Voddnet GDN (VC++ .Net, libcurl, OpenSSL).- Creation of Vooddo, a custom hypervideo client and associated video markup editor (Flash, AS3, XML).

- Senior developer for the creation of a J2EE-based web client to RITS, the RBA’s central RTGS system, (J2EE, Oracle/SQL, JSP/Servlets, Struts, Hibernate, Ant, WebLogic, RSA Cleartrust, Red Hat Linux).- Especially involved in development of a PKI-based solution for digital identification and digital signatures for the purposes of non-repudiation (PKI, PKCS11, JavaScript, Applets, XML).- Overhaul of the Transaction Queue Processing Engine at the heart of RITS, the Reserve Bank’s RTGS Interbank Payments System, which is responsible for settling A$180b worth of transactions daily, resulting in efficiency gains of 130% (C, Pro*C, Oracle/SQL, OpenVMS).- Development of an RTGS transaction simulator for high volume testing and scenario analysis (C, Pro*C, Oracle/SQL, OpenVMS, DCL).

Tokyo : Team Leader, Yen Fixed Income Trading Apps- Leader of a team of 5 responsible for operation and development of all Yen FI trading systems (Repos, Bonds, Futures, Options) comprising both client-server (C, Sybase/SQL, UNIX Shell) and web-based e-trading systems (Java, JSP/Servlet, WebSphere, CGI/Perl).- Development of several e-trading systems (eBlotter, eBunkatsu, TradeaXess) leading to significantly increased front-office and sales trading capacity and reducing mid-office headcount by one third.- Conception and implementation of an entirely new business continuity plan (BCP) permitting full resumption of Tokyo trading capability in London within 24 hours of a disaster.- Negotiation and purchase of two Sun Enterprise 3500 machines and subsequent migration of all database, client-server and e-trading system web servers onto these machines in a cross-failover Qualix high-availability configuration – the project resulting in a three-fold improvement in system response time.- Team leader responsibilities: team budget forecasting; regular reporting to senior IT and business managers on team performance and adherence to project schedules; interviewing, selecting and coaching of new team members; detailed performance appraisals of team members on a regular basis.Paris : Architect and developer- Responsible for development of a prototype Web Service tier for the Concorde FI Trading system (Web Services, XML, SOAP, Tomcat, Java, Perl, VB).- Development for JPMorgan’s top FI Trading and Risk Management system, Concorde, (C, Sybase/SQL, Shell, Sybase Replication) including : repo trading module overhaul for Tokyo repo traders; counterparty data centralisation and replication to 12 different Concorde sites globally; participation in the rollout of Concorde to New York, including implementation of data replication and back office trade feeds.

- Systems developer for AMP Investments’ mutual fund Unit Pricing System (VB, Sybase/SQL) including user interface rework for improved efficiency; stored procedure optimisation; Sybase 4.9.2 to 10.0 upgrade.

- A member of the five person team responsible for the analysis and development of Tactician, Telerate’s commercial off-the shelf fixed income trading & risk management system (C, C++).- Development of risk management modules for the treatment of Bonds, Futures and Caps/Collars/Floors.

- Member of the development team responsible for the analysis, development and deployment of Rainbow, the Bureau’s Personnel and Pay Administration system (Pro*C, Oracle/SQL, SQLForms).- Development of a data bridge to migrate personnel data from the pre-existing mainframe system to the new Oracle-based system (Oracle/SQL, ADABAS/Natural on Fujitsu M780).
