Police Officer
CurrentPerform law enforcement patrols, conduct investigations, and respond to emergencies in progress to protect life and property. I've accomplished this difficult task by proactively patrolling my precinct, initiating activity aimed toward preventing crime and holding those who violate the law accountable. I've made several hundred misdemeanor and felony arrests for crimes ranging from murder, felonious assault, robbery, burglary, rape, felony weapons offenses, narcotics possession/trafficking, domestic violence, menacing, drunk driving, and responded to numerous hostile riots. I've learned to embrace the concept of community policing and multiple years have served as a member of the safe streets team engaging the community and interacting with the citizens. I've completed assignments in the narcotics, criminal intelligence, and patrol bureau in addition to directed patrol assignments. I currently have the honor of serving the division as a field training officer having spent hundreds of hours training four officers. This gives me the chance to ensure new police recruits receive proper training and conduct themselves in a manner in accordance with division polices, Ohio law, and most importantly meet the high expectations the citizens have of their police officers.
Master Sergeant
CurrentDuring the course of my career in the United States Air Force I've served in a variety of positions ranging from Installation Entry Controller, Patrolman, Fire team Member/Leader, Base Defense Operations Controller, Vault Storage Area Supervisor, and Flight Chief. I've served worldwide in stateside, remote, austere, and war zone locations to include Georgia, Texas, Ohio, Iraq, Greenland, and Italy. I've provided world class resource, asset, and personnel protection to several thousand United States Department of Defense servicemen and civilians, safeguarded multi-million dollar United States Air Force quick strike fighter aircraft, deployed twice to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom securing over 20,000 Iraqi prisoners of war conducting over 250 combat patrols clearing supply routes and executive protection. I spent two years leading a squad of defenders that provided resource protection to nuclear weapons contributing to the United States maintaining a strategic national defense posture. Most recently, I've served in the Ohio Air National Guard activating numerous times in support of the state and federal mission. While activated to supplement personnel shortages, as flight chief I led my team to achieving team of the quarter for our wing that consists of over 1000 airmen. Being a non-commissioned officer in the United States Air Force has given me countless opportunities to learn from proven leaders and gain leadership experience that translates into successful managerial and supervision abilities.
