Associate Sales Representative
Legislative Assistant
I effectively manage all constituent communication on behalf of three State Representatives who are from three different regions in Indiana. Including, collaboration and interaction with legislative liaisons from Indiana state agencies and the involved private parties to resolve case work. I also serve as the caucus committee representative for the Employment, Labor and Pensions committee. This coverage results in comprehensive committee reports that detail all parts of the legislation brought before the committee. To do these reports I research and analyze all current and relevant past legislation and Indiana code.
National Student Representative
The active body of Alpha Delta Gamma elected me to represent them and their interests to the National Board. I attend biweekly conference calls, evaluate each chapter's performance on tasks, consult chapters when needed, travel on chapter visits to speak with administration and further consult, lead breakout sessions on designated topics during our leadership conferences. I manage 3 board of Directors positions and am actively coming up with new ways to bring value to our members through events, (such as National Day of Service, Universal ADG night, Laetare Sunday, and Fall & Spring Retreats). Additionally, I have overseen the creation of the Social Media and Internet marketing plan, where we implement various strategies to recruit new members, this was done in conjunction with the Social Media Director. I also readily make myself available to speak with all members of our fraternity whenever they may need to discuss any topics or personal issues.Educational Leadership Seminars:-Technology and Social Media: Using technology and social media to strategically recruit members and promote value to your university -Smart Growth and productivity: How to grow your organization sustainably and increase productivity as an organization, -Small group leadership: Effective Leadership strategies, and how a leader can combat the inevitable tensions that will arise when leading others-Preparing for National Day of Servicehttp://www.alphadeltagamma.org/executive-council.htmlDesigned, Built, Collaborated, and Executed the transformation of Alphadeltagamma.org from an unappealing design to the current design. The overhaul of the website included overseeing and helping with SEO, designing the site for Generation Z, social media marketing planning, and constantly updating and maintaining content.
Digital Signage Content Manager
I was the first ever to have the opportunity to manage the digital signage at Bellarmine University. This opportunity allowed me to help set the foundation for the future of this position. I managed 14 signs around campus and the content that is displayed on them. The content was sent to me through a form on our Orgsync site, after identifying the flaws in this system next year this will change. I reviewed requests, at times hundreds, for content and then picked out the ones applying to the most amount of students on campus. The signs that were chosen to be built were then put on our Bellarmine University Digital Signage program, a program I helped develop during my time in this position. In the program, I would choose the background photo, the style of the text, and write the copy for the sign. This helped me further develop my design, graphic communication/communication, creative, and critical thinking skills. Upon the completion of my first semester in this position I advised to hire an additional intern to help me manage the workload. Fortunately, they were able to do this and I was given the opportunity to train, manage workflow, and help further develop his and my position. Upon the end of our semester the two of us wrote a technical "How To Signage" document to allow the next people to take our positions to transition smoothly. Suggestions I made to improve the signage:Weather- CompletedColor options on text- CompletedThis Day in History-CompletedPhoto of the week- CompletedMore photographs to improve the visual experience- CompletedFast Fact Slides- CompletedVideo Stories- Stage is set for this to be a reality next semester.Animation Slides- Stage is set for this to be a reality next semester.
Policy Research Assistant
As a policy research Intern for the Government Affairs team, I researched various issues to help prepare the team as to which stance they would take in the upcoming session. Notable issues: Charter Schools in Indiana, Sunday Alcohol Sales, Gasoline Index tax, Independent Redistricting Commission and Various Generational Research to understand what will attract the new working generation (generation Y or Millenials/Echo Boomers) and the retiring generation (Baby-boomers) to a city.
Events Management Assistant
During this time, I was responsible for assisting in event planning and execution. Examples: Indy Chamber Golf Outing and Indy Chamber Schmooza Palooza, both events were comprised of local area executives & employees and were designed to encourage local area businesses to work together and strengthen the economic stability of the Indianapolis area.
Ambassador
As an Ambassador for IMS I acted as a security and hospitality representative. I ensured the Tower Suites guests were in the right place as well as made sure no one/nothing that was not supposed to be in this area was granted access. I was also responsible for ensuring certain VIP's were allowed access to the suites quickly and quietly.
Cheer Coach
I was a cheer coach for Power Cheer during this time. I coached girls from ages 4-16. I worked here until I was injured and no longer able to participate in Cheer leading.
Summer Intern
As an ISA intern, I helped organize and manage events surrounding the Indiana State Fair. Including managing of our volunteers and closing and opening our booth. I also created and executed a social media marketing plan to promote our brand as well as other brands affiliated with ISA. This included giving away merchandise as well as tickets to the state fair. I also helped organize the promotional and educational items we would give out to further promote the Indiana Soybean Alliance.
