I have built and led three highly-successful and high-impact management teams at Google and currently lead a team of managers running programs to optimize Google Search Performance, including results latency, global capacity planning, Search experimentation, data logging/processing/compliance and Android Google Search App Infrastructure. Previously at Google, I conceived, proposed, gained staffing for and led the successful implementation and adoption of the company-wide Android app performance testing service, adopted as the company-wide Google standard and now used by hundreds of first-party app teams. And I built a program management team for the Google Search App on Android (which has over 10 billion installs worldwide).I hold two US patents for automated software construction. At Agilisys, a startup incubator and systems integrator, I joined as employee fifty and as technical architect helped manage growth to two thousand staff over eighteen months before a private equity sale. An Oxford Maths graduate, I started as a systems programmer, coding compilers (Lex, Yacc), protocol handlers (TCP/IP, X25/LAPB) and search engines (Oracle/Unix stack). I founded successful startup ICraft, a software consultancy working with global enterprises and start-ups, providing hands-on leadership of distributed high-performing engineering teams, coordinating development, strategy, UX, testing, release teams and product managers, delivering in demanding operational environments.
