In collaboration with the Edelman Fossil Park executive team and the Division of University Advancement of Rowan, this role spearheads the Museum’s fundraising, engagement, and partnership opportunities. I am responsible for developing and overseeing all aspects of these activities, including a robust major gifts program; an engaging annual campaign; a corporate, foundation, and donor relations program; grant/proposal writing; a multifaceted; board development and management; and a variety of events. In addition, I am responsible for developing and implementing an annual development plan and budget and am accountable for meeting the Museum’s overall fundraising goals.

During a transition between Chief Development Officers in the Inspira Health Foundation, I served in the role, overseeing all Board, development, and advancement services activity. I supervised a staff of 11 during this timeframe.

Responsible for all fundraising related to leadership giving, major gifts, campaigns, planned giving and events sponsorships of the Inspira Health Network Foundation Cumberland/Salem. Identified, cultivated and solicited gifts in support of the IHN Foundation Cumberland/Salem. Oversight of the Cumberland/Salem Foundation Board and the Auxiliaries. Developed and maintained strong relationships with the medical staff.

Reporting to the Chief Development Officer, the Executive Director of Development and Alumni Affairs provided strategic direction and oversight of the fundraising and alumni affairs programs. This included all components of major giving, annual giving, sponsorship giving, and alumni engagement. The Executive Director supervised Annual Giving, Alumni Affairs, and Event staff. The Executive Director worked with most College constituencies including alumni, faculty/staff, parents, and friends. The Executive Director also developed and managed a portfolio of major donor prospects and worked closely with the Chief Development Officer, Associate Chief Development Officer, University President, Executive Vice President, and other University leadership.In collaboration with staff, set goals and implemented annual and longer-range performance metrics for measuring success in the Development and Alumni Affairs programs. Developed and implemented a comprehensive fundraising strategy to meet financial goals of the University and Foundation, including personal solicitation, major donor development, leadership annual giving, event sponsorships, phonathon, direct mail, and electronic and Web-based solicitation. Collaborated with staff in Advancement Operations to ensure accurate and timely handling of all donor gifts, information, and acknowledgment. Prepared tracking, analysis, and program evaluation reports for the development team, volunteers, and Foundation Board. Developed and implemented a comprehensive strategy for alumni engagement with a focus on increasing alumni involvement and philanthropic investment with Stockton. Expanded the department’s growing collaboration with campus partners, i.e. Deans, Student Affairs, External Affairs, etc. Effectively supervise staff. Served as a representative of Stockton and the development team at community and University activities. Managed relationships with assigned major and leadership-level annual donors.

Responsible for soliciting gifts of $1,000 and larger for the Stockton University Foundation. Emphasis was on identifying, cultivating and soliciting potential leadership donors to generate increased participation at the leadership giving level. The role was to assist and collaborate with the Executive Director of Development and Alumni Affairs in developing programs, communications, and activities in support of giving at this level. This position was also responsible for building young alumni engagement programming. The position assisted and collaborated with the Director of Alumni Affairs to develop regional networks and a student alumni group.

- Supervised the work of the Annual Giving Coordinator- Developed and implemented a comprehensive Annual Giving strategy to meet financial goals of the College and Foundation, including phonathon, direct mail, electronic and Web-based solicitation, and personal solicitation. - Created and implemented a calendar for annual solicitations.- Provided content and work with communications staff to develop Annual Giving publications and messaging.- Collaborated with staff in Advancement Operations to ensure accurate and timely handling of all donor gifts, information, and acknowledgment. - Guided the growth of the Richard Stockton Society (RSS) by setting and meeting new targets for numbers of donors at the $1,000+l, and in building the brand of RSS.- Managed the Department’s vendor relationships as they pertain to annual giving.- Strengthened and expanded the use of Annual Giving volunteers to enhance the program.- Using data, in conjunction with other Development and Alumni Relations staff, identified prospects for leadership annual gifts. - Conducted at least 500 personal contacts annually via phone and e-mail to solicit an annual gift of $1000 or more. - Qualified 5-10 new major gift prospects annually. - Developed a strategy to achieve and maintain leadership annual giving renewal rates of 70% or greater. - Collaborated with Stockton’s Deans and Schools to grow school-focused annual giving efforts.
