Space Shuttle, Space Station, Crew Space Transportation, Asteroid Capture. ——I am passionate about working at the intersection of the arts, science, design, education, and technology. In my free time, I produce music, build robots, create interactive lighting, contribute to the open source community, and much more. I love taking on challenging projects that allow me to acquire new skills, learn new programming languages, broaden my electronics knowledge, or anything that gives me the opportunity to learn something new. I am an internationally exhibited visual artist and have collaborated with artists and musicians on interactive stage lighting as well as music video production and direction (some of my work can be seen here www.arbitraryy.com). I've spent a good portion of my career teaching and developing mathematics curricula at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising (FIDM). I am also passionate about education and humanitarian work. I have been a participant at inner-city schools engineering week activities I have also developed curricula and taught computer and software skills to the homeless community in downtown Los Angeles.
