Academic, Obstetrician-Gynecologist and public health professional with a passion for global women's health. I have completed post-graduate training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and I am currently a Global Women's Health Fellow based in Johannesburg, South Africa. I have extensive experience working in a variety of healthcare settings, including community health centers, research institutes, and clinical trial networks.Through my experience in various cultures and health systems, I have developed a deep appreciation for the need to provide quality and equitable healthcare to all women, regardless of their socioeconomic status or geographic location. I am excited about the opportunity to collaborate with like-minded individuals and organizations to advance the health and well-being of women around the world.As a Clinical Instructor and Investigator at the Wits' Health Consortium Clinical HIV Research Unit, Women's Cancer Research Division, I work on cutting-edge research projects related to women's health in Southern Africa, with a focus on clinical trials, cervical cancer screening and treatment. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of working with a variety of community-based, international and multilateral organizations, including the South Cove Community Health Center in Boston, Amani Global Works in the Democratic Republic of Congo, and the United Nations World Food Programme in Washington, DC. Beyond my clinical and research work, I am committed to serving my community through various initiatives such as peer support for healthcare professionals and evaluating medical claims for individuals seeking asylum in the United States.
