Since my training from General Assembly, I have assisted numerous local clients with little to no internet presence by building their own, custom-made websites. When not making or maintaining client websites, I have advanced my skills by taking online courses and completing new, challenging projects.

Since joining the fast-paced development of this start-up business, I have played an important role in turning its website into a reality. My position requires:- Knowledge of Shopify, an eCommerce CMS- Extensive knowledge of JavaScript and jQuery in order to implement custom tools for user interaction- Utilization of Shopify’s CSS templates while also personalizing their style details- Clear and frequent communications with Mindhome’s senior staff, web designers, and fellow developers in order to complete all tasks by the required deadlines.

Immediately upon entering this contract, I was given the responsibility of maximizing the performance of their current client's WordPress website. I accomplished this goal by the following:1) INCREASED organic search engine results. I identified numerous out-of-date redirect chains by utilizing SiteImprove. I then entered the correct URL's into the code by using the "WP Bakery Page Builder" plugin.2) DECREASED page download time. By compressing images, eliminating block-rendering, and caching data, I significantly reduced a customer's wait between pages. 3) CUSTOMIZED user interaction by writing Javascript. The client's unique requirements for one of their forms couldn't be accomplished by any plugin or tool, so I entered a custom snippet of Javascript code that ultimately solved the issue completely.

This intense course was dedicated to learning and practicing both front-end and back-end coding for for training as a website developers. It took place from June to September in 2017, with each lesson taking 8 hours. All of the students became capable of using a large range of coding languages and tools. These include: HTML, CSS, Javascript, Ruby, Ruby on Rails, Express, EJS, SQL, Mongoose, and Mongo.

I was a member of a laboratory team at George Washington University. It's research was focused on Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and possible epigenetic effects connected to that disorder.

I was trained as an infantry officer following my commissioning 2010 until the summer of 2011. I was deployed to Afghanistan in the fall of 2011 and took command of 40 other soldiers. I completed my service as professor's aide at the US Naval Academy within its "Leadership, Ethics, and Law Department".
