I was a seasonal employee for the summer months. I worked with a four-person team to help produce the door panel for a Mercedes Suv. The rotation was in four stations for 2-4 hours at a time. While producing the parts we were in charge of quality control to eliminate any defective parts. I also helped in coaching new employees on how to properly prepare materials and operate the machines. Through this job, I got to work with Lean Six Sigma and experience in the manufacturing processes within a plant.

TJ Maxx was a part-time job while I was attending Central Michigan University and living in Mt. Pleasant. While at TJ Maxx, I gained experience both on and off the sales floor. As a sales associate, I helped maintain an orderly store appearance while assisting customers and working the cash register as needed. I also spent many hours in the stockroom doing receivables, preparing stock for the sales floor and organizing back stock. In addition to these tasks, I assisted the managers with miscellaneous maintenance heavy lifting around the store. Through this I gained experience in many aspects of retail sales.

As a recreational staff, I ran and managed events and programs for the resort. I was an instructor for swimming lessons which was ages 3 through 16. I was an instructor for kid’s club, which I was responsible for a specific section of the day's activities. I oversaw the teen club for ages 13-18 and was responsible for planning and hosting the weekly activities. I was a certified ropes course employee that would operate the ropes course during open shifts. On top of these constant programs, I would also manage the events that were constantly being held throughout the resort.

As a lead lifeguard, I had several responsibilities which included the basic lifeguard responsibilities with additional responsibilities. The basic responsibilities were ensuring that the pool remained safe for all patrons by enforcing pool rules and maintaining responsibility for my zone. Along with these main responsibilities, I also ensured all lifeguards were properly performing their responsibilities, helping any upset patrons, ensured emergencies or contamination cleaning was handled properly, and was responsible for anything that was going on within the pool. I was also often a recreations monitor which handled every event going on within the park and pools. I was responsible for ensuring all employees were at the proper spot and assisted with anything that needed attention for anything going on within the recreational events or pools.
