Under the direction of the Superintendent or Designee, and in coordination with theSuperintendent’s cabinet, the Director of Information Technology (DIT) is accountable toplan, organize, coordinate, and direct the day-to-day functions of the Information TechnologyServices Department; provide leadership and direction in the on-going development of districtinformation systems, school and classroom technology, instructional interactive media andadministrative technology applications; efficient and timely delivery of high qualitytechnological services to meet the needs of the District; and to supervise and provide clear workdirection and evaluate the performance of assigned staff. Supports the integration of technologyinto the curriculum and teaching practices.

• Operate and monitor computer systems and related equipment• Evaluate, configure, and maintain the following Enterprise environments: Active Directory, Group Policy, Google Workspace, virus protection, automated desktop environment imaging and patching.• Install/support operating systems including Windows Desktop/Server, Mac OS and Chrome OS• Install/support personal productivity applications, database applications, network applications, and Internet applications• Test new software and related upgrades for compatibility with existing systems• Develop and maintain desktop and server configuration standards.• Prioritize and schedule work orders. Respond to online work orders/requests for assistance with computer hardware and software.• Maintain records and prepare reports related to equipment inventory, maintenance, installation, warranties and system defects.• Maintain software licenses for school sites, departments, and District.• Lead new system development, continued enhancement of existing systems and implementation of system modification to ensure expected results and prevent negative impact to existing functions and processes throughout District.• Evaluate, define and implement technology within the District.• Manage the district E-Rate cycle for to receive federal funding for Category 1 and 2 projects.• Collaborate with the SJCOE (San Joaquin County Office of Education) IT staff to ensure compliance with county network infrastructure requirements• Work with technology vendors to understand, support and enhance products and services purchased for the District. Provides requirements to vendors for system modifications. Communicate with vendors, suppliers, District administrators and personnel concerning parts, equipment and program operations and new technology

• Maintain the integrity and continual operation of the IT network including wireless networks• Ensure continual functioning of mission critical operations• Maintain security and privacy of the information systems, communication lines, and equipment• Develop, review, and certify all back-up and disaster recovery• Make recommendations about purchase of technology resources• Provide training to Electro Imaging Systems staff and clients• Install configure and support all business software applications

• Connect/configure MFPs and printers on clients networks• Install/configure server and workstation printer application software• Perform manufacturer approved repair and maintenance procedures to multi-function devices and printers• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and software related technical problems• Document accurate log of issues and resolutions through dispatch system• Provide technical training to end users
