There is a paucity of roadside drug detection solutions for law enforcement officers, which has led to a national crisis. According to Rep. John Mica (R-FL), impaired driving, under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol, has contributed to more than 50% of fatal motor vehicle crashes (MVCs) or more than a "quarter of a million fatalities" since 2000. A new generation of devices are needed which can simultaneously screen for alcohol and illicit & prescription drugs. Our WingMan DDD™ is one solution among a host of potential GC/MS, HSI and Raman analysis approaches, and will complement and support proven oral fluid screening systems by detecting trace levels of drugs in vivo and on target surfaces within the vehicle.According to FBI reports, the drug cartel "criminal insurgency" is now firmly entrenched in more than 1,200 U.S. cities, and if it were not for the bravery and integrity of Sheriff Phalen, the drug cartel DTO that moved onto my aunt's street could have also inflicted 20 years of murder and terror on the community similar to the $60 million Lopez Lemus DTO in Chester County, PA. District Attorney Hogan characterized the DTOs as dangerous criminal organizations that "kill cops, kill prosecutors, kill judges and don't think twice about killing civilians," and all while hiding "in plain sight."
