Head Of Responsible Business
I led a policy team of five which established partnerships between the private sector and parts of the public and social sectors to address social and environmental issues. I was the DCMS lead for the Inclusive Economy Partnership, a government convened group of CEOs from major UK businesses (incl. I designed and managed a £1.2m research, evidence and advocacy programme focused on how different social enterprise models, rooted in renewable energy use and centred on agriculture, were able to best support smallholder farmers across sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia. This was a sub-section of a wider £30m partnership with DFID, aiming to support smallholder farmers to increase their incomes and more resilient to the range of risks they face.

These organisations launched as Fair4All Finance and the Youth Futures Foundation respectively. They are acting as market builders, funders, evidence makers and conveners to bring together a cross sectoral group of organisations and individuals keen to break down the systemic barriers to progress in these areas.I also led a review and full reform of the governance structure around Fair4All, Youth Futures, Big Society Capital, and Access Foundation, the organisations that manage dormant assets funding.
