Since July 2014 I have been a Trial Team Leader in the General Crimes Unit of the Jackson County Prosecutor's office. I manage a staff of anywhere from 7 to 14 attorneys and support staff. The unit primarily charges and handles property crimes, drug cases of all levels, gun cases and driving cases. As a trial team leader I assign cases, help train new attorneys and maintain a case load of class A felonies such as Homicide, Assault and Robbery cases. Prior to my position as a Trial Team Leader I have been an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney in the Domestic Violence Unit, Sex Crimes Unit and Major Crimes Unit. Responsible for the handling of day-to-day prosecution of criminal charges filed against defendants within Jackson County, Missouri. Lead trial attorney in the prosecution of murder, rape, assault, domestic assault, and robbery trials including DNA hit cold cases.
