Passionate social work professional open to experiences that will further development of new or acquired skills in various social work fields. Highly organized, responsible and well-versed in communication, individual counseling, group intervention, and goal-oriented therapies.I have been in school social work internships, with experience in writing Individualized Education Plans, Review of Existing Evaluation Data, Positive Behavior Support Plans, Functional Behavior Assessments, and Manifestation Determination Reviews. I have also held individual and group sessions with students and written objectives and goals for student success in their learning environments as it relates to their academic and behavioral needs. I have been trained in writing IEPs and FBAs, Discipline for Students with Disabilities, Sensory Regulation, Restorative Practices, and Trauma-Focused Interventions.I have also gained experience in individual counseling and walking through difficult transitions, symptoms, and life circumstances with teens and young adults. Through counseling, I have learned skills in treatment planning and goal building, as well as experience with Strengths-Based Therapy and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.Receiver of the “I Am Grand Valley” Award, an Academic Honoree of Phi Kappa Phi Honors Fraternity, and member of Phi Alpha Social Work Honors Society Chi Epsilon Chapter.
