As CEO of the education nonprofit, I managed annual budget of approximately $1,000,000, increasing program revenue by $100,000 and decreasing expenses by $277,000.I increased awareness about dyslexia by recruiting and promoting celebrity spokespeople like IndyCar drivers Scott Dixon, Stephan Wilson and the late Justin Wilson in the Dyslexia Doesn't Stop Me campaign running from 2015 - 2016 in partnership with the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, Andretti Racing, Honda, LAMAR Outdoor, WIBC 93.1 FM and ESPN 1070 The Fan.As the organization’s spokesperson, I earned media on all local TV stations, local sports radio shows, and nationally and internationally on NBC Sports. I increased fundraising event revenue by 61 percent, growing participation in existing events like Walking for Dreams Family and Pet 5K Walk and creating new events attracting Millennials and Gen Xers, like Indy's Lip Sync Battle and Trey's Trivia.I recruited celebrity spokesperson Indianapolis Colts mascot Trey Mock to be a featured author at the fundraiser breakfast, to make a special appearance as Blue with First Lady Karen Pence as part of Indiana's bicentennial celebration, and to host a fundraising event about Indiana and Colts trivia.I coached a team of four managers and more than 40 part time and seasonal staff, incorporating Strengthfinders 2.0 development and Simon's Sinek's Start With Why belief into our culture.Using my experience in media, marketing and branding, I professionalized the organization's communications, creating a distinctive brand for web, email marketing, direct mail, print, social media and Facebook Live video, while growing engagement and volume of followers, fans and subscribers by 49.7 percent.
